Exterior finish on a Four Winds Windsport

I have just purchased a 2000 Windsport. It is in a little need of sprucing up the exterior finish like waxing and de-oxidizing. I have read much about what to do to certain types of exterior finishes like if it's gelcoat or whatever. How do I find out what my finish might be so I can approach this the correct way?

I really don't have your answer but had to write because we also have a 2000 Windsport. The exterior of ours is in good condidtion, all I've done so far is wash the exterior but did wax the nose a few times and keep it stored under a cloth cover. If you have other questions that I might be able to help, please let me know.

Hi, we had a 2000 33' and used an RV cleaner and wax from WalMart. First washed with a mild soap, started to do the waxing and found it to be a giant job. Called a wash & wax mobil co and for $200.00 they did a great job. We now have a 2008 35B Windsport and I will call them again when needed.
