Faye,
could you give us a little info on the unit?
Model, length, type of chassis, etc.

Have a 34 ft harricane 07 and must say up to now no big promblems.
well we did have a fuel pump go but I do beleive to newer modles ford took care of the promblem. We have about 34000 miles getting ready to go again we pull a trailer that has our goldwing in it. on the adverage we get about 9 miles to the gallon of course when in the mountains it droped some, it runs great and I like thor as they have been great.

We have a 2004, 34 ft Hurricane and we really like it. No problems. We also pull a GMC 1500 on a dolly with no problem.

While I have mixed emptions about Hurricanes I would almost agree with myLife. I have a 07 that has been back to ellkhart 3 times and now we finally seem to have it all fixed and I would buy it as it sits but never again would i buy new

We bought an 04 new. Had one problem after another. Felt quality was poor. Traded it off and I would not buy a Thor product.

We have a 2008 Hurricane 30Q and like it just fine. It arrived with the dash air not working (fixed by Ford under warranty), with a defective front TV (replaced by Four Winds), a leaky gate valve on the black water tank (replaced by Four Winds).
These are the mods I made to date:
I replaced the front TV with a 26 inch LCD and still have the replacement TV that Four Winds supplied.
I added a 19 inch LCD/DVD TV in the bedroom.
I added an inverter with completely separate wiring so that I can power the sat receiver/TVs/DVD players when boondocking without running the generator.
I added 12V wiring to power a Flojet macerator pump which enables me to pump out the RV at home.
I added instrumentation to provide detailed battery usage information.
In the course of making these mods I also replaced some plastic trim with oak.
All in all, the RV does what we want it to do and those things that haven't been quite right were really dealer PDI issues that should have been caught before delivery.
My advice is to go over the RV very carefully. Don't assume the TV works. Run everything.
Lastly, before you buy any Class A - take it out on the road and drive it at Highway speeds for a while. I found it took a little getting used to. Be aware that with the Hurricane as with many other Class As, Tire pressures can make a huge difference in ride quality.
Good Luck.

We love our '99 Hurricane. Its little, but good for us. Have had a few small problems, nothing major yet. 65000 miles and still going.
