I went camping at Rodante KOA, Outer Banks NC this weekend in my 2011 Windsport 32A. When I got there, I checked out the heater by sliding the bar and the blower came on, so I slid it back and the blower went off. Later that night, I went to turn on the heater and no blower, moved the switch to A/C and no blower again. I checked the HVAC fuse under the hood and it was good. Removed the cover on thermostat, 2 amp fuse was good, breakers are good, none tripped. I am beginning to think the thermostat is bad. I also checked to see if only the fan would come on and no luck..Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try???

Bobbet32A,

Check the 12v automotive fuses not the coach fuses to see if one has failed.

Welcome Bobbet32A to irv2.
Your talking about thermostat isn't that for your furnace?
Unless your running the engine than you will get heat from your coach engine heater with the ignition switch on.

I found this website, which list RV Thermostats http://www.rvcomfort.com/pdf_documen...tats_copy1.pdf

and this http://www.rvcomfort.com/pdf_documents/1976376.pdf which list
SERVICE MANUAL 12VDC WALL THERMOSTAT AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
ROOFTOP UNITS ONLY

I will be checking voltages when I get home today.

Today, I checked the thermostat and I am missing 12VDC to the panel. Measured the Rear A/C and I have 12VDC there, I am convinced that I have a fuse blown, but I can't locate it....

Most RV AC systems just complete the ground circuit to turn on the AC. There may not actually be any 12 volts + there to start with. Find a wiring diagram for your coach and follow it out to see.

Bobbet32A,

Check your gfci in your bathroom and kitchen to see if they have been tripped. You may only have one in the bathroom area to test.

Good luck and,

Steve

I checked to make sure that both GFCI and they were both working properly...Per the other post, I figure that if I have 12VDC on the rear A/C thermostat, the main cabin thermostat should have 12VDC, next step is to try and jumper 12VDC to the main cabin and see if the fan will work....Thanks for all the help and suggestions, please keep them up, I appreciate the support..

Have you checked the main breaker box under the bed to see if a breaker is off?

I have checked the breaker box and all breakers were good, I turned them off and then back on again just to reset them, but none were tripped. I even checked the fuses on the 12 Volt converter and they were good.

Bobbet32A,

We have tried everything we know so it may be time to call your dealer or Thor and have this fixed under warranty.

Found the problem, it was a faulty splice connector for 12VDC going to the thermostat. Replaced the splice connector with in-line splice and everything is working again....
thanks to everyone who assisted...
