going from 13.5k to 15k AC

Our 2012 Thor Challenger KT has 2 13.5k ac units that have trouble keeping up with summer heat when it gets up into the high 90's. I want to know if it is possible to install 2 15k units to help with this problem.

Assuming that you have a 50 amp coach should not be a problem running on shore power. On generator when they upgraded the Bounders to 15k they also went from a 5.5 to a 7 kw generator. I'ld look into issue.

I went to 15K heat pumps on my 20008 Bounder as the 13.5K OEMs failed. I can run both 15K heat pumps on 30 service, but nothing else. So I don't think my 5.5 Onan will have a problem. The local rv repair shop that changed them told me the cost was the same for a 13.5K or 15K.

My coach came with a 15k unit and I added an 11k unit to the bedroom. Both run on 4K gen set as long as frig, micro, water heater are off or on gas. The 11k is a "power saver" model, costs a little more but draws less amps. They may have a 15k power saver model, not sure.

If a 4k generator will push a total of 26K BTU air conditioning, I would think a 5.5K would push 30K BTU.

Don't know if it matters, but I installed hard start kits to both units.
