Grey Water Tank Ace 29.1

Hi,

Just wondering how much usage everyone gets before the grey tank fills up. I've got a 44 gallon tank on my rig and after just two showers and some normal sink usage its about 2/3 full. Unless this is the norm, I'm thinking it may be a faulty sensor…. Thanks for your input.

I've been told that small obstructions can give you false readings. For example; grease from dishes, hair from showering, etc. So, 2-3 days of normal use (family of 4) fills my tank. Worst case scenario you will get water to back into the shower floor...time to dump

I'd say your usage and level seem normal to me, pretty small tanks for showers. with my family if everyone showers its daily dumping for me.

The only way to know for sure, is to keep filling the grey tank until it overflows into the shower stall. Then you know for sure that it is full.

i also have a 29.1 and we usually get about 3-4 days with two of us using the shower before the grey tank needs dumped. We do try to be conservative with the water use in the shower, using the button to shut it off at the shower head and not letting it run the whole time. it also helps that on the 29.1 the lav sink is hooked to the black tank not the grey. I think you may have an indication issue.

My black and grey water indicators lie to me all the time. Even when i dump them, they mysteriously indicate full from time to time. First flush on the toilet after dumping usually clears up the confusion on the sensor.

I simply stopped using the gauges because they lie all the time.

When the shower floor fills up, it is full. The black tank seems like a bottomless pit to me. I have yet to actually fill it up to serious full capacity. (and i don't want to try) If that gets full, i imagine you will see sludge in the pipe after you flush.
