We just bought a 2000 Windsport and I noticed that when the key is turned to the acc position the headlights are on even when they are turned to the off position on the dash knob. But when the dash knob is turned on they seemingly get brighter like the other is a daylight driving light or something. Does anyone else see anything like this?

Sounds like DRLs. Do they go out with the park brake engaged?

My 2000 Bounder is the same way. They are daytime running lights. When you turn on the key, the lights come on. When you turn the light switch at night, they get brighter. It is normal.
