This has been an excellent thread. I'm going to pick up a new 26" LCD tomorrow and use this thread as a reference for the installation in my 31D.

Just finished installing a 26" tonight. This thread really made the job easier. Now to put it back in storage for another 1 1/2 months

sjanes: Looking good. We are waiting for the weather to get better to hit the road. Then after all the camping we will do another product.

Thanks.

I did my install a little differently than the others here. I wanted to have access to the manual control buttons and inputs on the side of the TV and my 26" TV was not quite as tall as the hole for the old one so I made a backing plate for a mount.

I cut a piece of plywood as a mount and covered the front with a sheet of aluminum painted flat black. I then used some of the original mounting brackets to attach the plywood to the front of the cabinet so the new TV is slightly inset, but not as much as the others here. I also used the winch mount to hold the TV while I was bolting it up.

Real nice job, I like what you did with the brackets. Do you have side view photos of the TV? Would like to see them.

Very nice, now I see you can get to the controls. I better not misplace the remote or I’ll be hurting. LOL

Drill some 1" holes for ventilation on the back access panel.
