Hi could someone tell me or direct me to the information.
I just weighted my Hurricane and it came in at 18840lbs. My tire are Goodyear 245/70R19.5 and in reading the information chart from Goodyear it show that my tire should be at 95 psi. Am I reading the chart correctly? http://www.goodyear.com/rv/pdf/rvbrochure.pdf
The Jeep weighted at 4440lbs I weight both vehicles separate.
Thank you for the help

I would presume you only have load range F and not Load range G. Therefore the max you can have is 85PSI, not 100PSI. Next, to do it properly, you need to weigh the four corners seperately. Then you determine PSI based on the heaviest corner for that axle. My guess is you should be running around 80PSI, maybe alittle less.

I played around with my psi's last summer. After weighing my rig and trying differant psi's front and back I now run 75 in rear and 85 up front. That may change but,it is based on several long drives.Mylife thats roughly what I weighed in last time, good numbers.

Hey guys, thanks for the information. I've been carrying around 85lbs in all tires based on dealer's advice. I just looked up on the Goodyear site that the maximum for my tires is 95lbs but the sticker beside the driver's window recommends 80lbs. I will try the 80 lbs on my next outing. I have a 2007 33H with front axle weight of 6,500 and rear axle weight of 12,540. I pull a toad weighing 3,440.

Why would you put less in the tires than the recommendation? I like to err on the high side than the low.
I would think higher pressures (but not above Max pressure, of course) would yield better milage and would be safer.

Its about weight and tire manufacturers recomended psi for that weight. But on the same token,Goodyear recomends 70psi in my fronts, little low for my taste.75 is better for me.How does your rig ride at max pressure, mine gets blown around. As long as your comfertable.

Cltkids , I notice your 4 post , Welcome to iRv2.com.
What ever you feel good with. , but no way do you ride at max air pressure 95 .Your dentures will fall out, that is if you have them . I don't want to spill my margaritas while my DW drives and i am enjoying the view and not spilling it on my lap. I now am down to 77 in front and 75 in all rear . very smooth ride. For spring through fall , and in weather nov to march it gets pump to 82 all around. next week it is going back to 77 fronts and 75 in all rears. they are load F range . It works great for M/H

Heres my go on this. The tire pressure chart in coach is based on full capacity, weight wise.I have Goodyear and they offer a tire pressure chart on thier website.According to that chart I am running 80 to 85lb.I have not done my pressure this year but know it will be about the same.It might take 1/2 a day but try differant pressure(safe margins) and you will notice a differance in handling.

Chuck Linn, go with the 95 up front and 90 all rears on your Michelin's. that is my next choice brand of tires Michelin's . Your dealer probably mechanic was advice to put only 80 or 77 up front and 75 in rears so that the salesman can sell the smooth riding coach to first time M/H buyers.
