I also bought a US Flag to fly. I plan on installing the holder somewhere on the awning arms. Ideas?
My upholstery is peeling apart too. Any ideas? Is there a class action lawsuit yet? Nobody is willing to help.
I have owned my first class A for only 3 months now. I will go into more depth of the numerous upgrades and even more repairs later. Needless to say it's been very eventful and shocking.

Adam did you ever get any answers to this question? My Windsport is in storage and the batteries go dead after 2 weeks.

No I did not. I go once a month and crank it, run the generator for 1-2 hours. I use the solenoid and turn off all power when I leave.

Just service the batteries before putting the rig in storage, than disconnect the battery grounds until you need the rig (after they are fully charged) and they will be fine for months.
To make it quick and easy, I bought a spare 6" Cresent wrench at a yard sale and kept it handy inside the battery compartment in a plastic bag.

This is EXACTLY what I did (except I left a box wrench of correct size in Battery compartment).
Trying to track down the small electrical draw somewhere in the coach when left in storage (even with the cut-off switch activated) proved mighty difficult, taking 2 mins to unhook negative terminal on house battery was very simple.

It seems that I am lucky to have enough space on my land to park the Hurricane, and keep it plugged in all the time.

?????? on my new LED lights
I purchased two lights for the back bumper of my RV. Each light has 6 LED's and consumes 18 watts (3 watts per LED). I bought a wiring harness that came with an illuminated rocker switch and relay. The harness is only about 10 feet long so I need an additional 30 feet or so (+ or -). The harness is 16 gauge. I bought 50 feet of 16 gauge wire to complete the run. Someone just told me I needed to ditch the harness and go with all 12 gauge wire for a 30-40 foot run.
Any opinions? Anyone done this? I'm sure I read somewhere where these lights were added by others.
Thanks.

You could use the harness and put a relay at the end to switch the load.

Old ugly dinette heading out to be pretty
Thor should be ashamed. I can't wait to have a new nice looking dinette.
It's on the way out. Preparing for new!

You can use this table to do your own calculation. don't forget the first 10 feet, they are also part of the equation!

Here is the other chart:
Conductors in electrical systems should not be sized with voltage drops exceeding 3%.
For a 12V system the maximum voltage drop should be less than ( 12 V) x 3% = 0.36 V.
Conductor sizes ( AWG) related to maximum current through a 12V electrical wire and length of cable - are indicated below:
American Wire Gauge (#AWG)Length
(feet)
Maximum Current (amps)51015202530405060701516121010886644201412108866444 25141088664422301210866442224012866442211/0501086442211/01/060106642211/02/02/07010642221/02/02/03/0808642211/02/03/03/090844211/02/03/03/04/0
Note! Failure to use an adequate size may result in a fire. Always secure electric wires with fuses.
Wire Gauge Design Procedure
- calculate total length of wire from source to device and back again
- determine amount of current in wire
- determine correct wire gauge in the intersection of amps and feet
Note! Wire size based on 3% (0.36 V) voltage drop in a 12 Volt circuit. Always oversize wires if voltage drop is critical.
