the radio claims to be sirus ready but the sirus under dash tuner cable is not compatible with the jenson factory cable out of the back of the radio . the radio is a jrv 212 . the sirus people tell me that I can install a dash mount sirus radio and use the aux cable on the Jensen . I did not really want more stuff on my dash . the expensive option is to buy the Jensen upgraded radio which accepts the sirus underdash tuner . has anyone had the same experience or a better solution

I believe that you need a SCC-1 tuner. It plugs into the back of your radio. They are no longer being made so getting one may be a little expensive. Are you going to the Thor Diesel Club's rally in October in Goshen? I have one a tuner that will work as it did when I had the Jensen 212 model. All you would need to add is the antenna which is about $30. I'll make you a good deal on it if you come to Goshen.

Thank you for the reply . Regrettably we will be in the Canadian maritimes in mid sept until the end of October . As we will be leaving from winnipeg in 3 weeks I am needing a solution quicker as my wife likes the sound of Sirus far more then my singing . I spoke late yesterday with Jenson and they have a upgraded model which not only will accept the Sirus tuner that I have but will also give me GPS and Bluetooth , thus reducing the amount of clutter on the dash . I need to spend some dollars for this but long term I think it is the better move . Have a great time in October . We look forward to taking in. A future event . Regards Brad

If the Jensen unit you are talking about is the 215, that is the unit I currently have. I do love the Bluetooth but I don't care for the GPS. It sits to low for me and it isn't as good as other stand alone GPS units.
