Keep losing stations on my radio

Looking for suggestions on my radio. Keep losing stations so I checked antenna and found that it was broken. I ordered a OEM replacement one from Jensen and replaced. Stationary it work strong but after a while, lost signal as before. Took the coach on the road yesterday and couldn't keep signal at all. Any suggestions?

FM, fades out, really didn't mess with AM. I have come to conclusion that the antenna isn't grounded right so back to the roof unless you have suggestions.

I put up with my Jensen for several years. Wouldn't hold time or stations and the signal would cut in and out. Sounded like crap. My stereo guy said it was connected right, that it was just junk. Plunked in a Kenwood and all was good. I'm guessing Jensen must be a low end unit since I read about problems all the time with them in RVs.

Well in spite of what I've read, replaced my Jensen 209 that died with a Jensen 9000r. Had to reduce the wire harness to get right plug into the head unit but all works as advertised, so far. Hopefully this will solve my radio problems for a long while, will keep you posted if anything changes

The stock "rubber duck" antennas on most rigs are a short replacement for an old fashioned telescopic antennas previously used on all cars. By 2003 Pace Arrow still had the metal whip, but it was a foot lower than current rigs.

They use the short flexible ones now to keep the height down. There are better FM antenna options, but they can be a problem with clearance.

Also, terrain is the big killer of both AM and FM signals (especially FM) FM likes line of sight.
