Load capacity of rotocast storage compartments?

I have a 2016 Hurricane 29M and trying to find out the load carrying capacity of the rotocast storage compartments. I've checked the Thor website and documentation included when I purchased the RV and can't find anything on this matter.

Anyone know about how many pounds these storage compartments can safely handle? From looking at the underside there is no bottom support so not sure how much weight I can safely load into one compartment.

The Rotocast bins were used in the Damon line before merger with Thor Motor Coach...we have them in most all bins.

I submit that there is no definitive max capacity, because of the differing sizes of each bin box and different types of loading (small or large heavy items).

One owner we knew also had these bins, with one loaded enough to cause the floor to sag under the weight...so we helped him by adding a cross bar to the underside, spanning the steel side frames.

This was extreme, of course. He probably had over 250lb in that one bin.

Best luck

Thanks for the feedback, I currently have about 250 lbs in one of my rotocast bins consisting of 4 batteries. The bottom is flexing a little but not too much, hence the purpose of my question. I may try to reinforce the bin by adding some sort of support under the bin if can be done relatively easy. I have the load spread evently across the bin bottom so this should help some.

Iirc, mine has decals on the compartment door with the capacity on it. I will try to remember to look and see.
