Maiden voyage

Well I just returned from my first week long trip in my 2015 thor ace 30.2 and it was a blast. Definetly one of those trips that validates the purchase of the RV. One thing did occur while we were out, the jester stopped working during the middle of the night. It had been working just fine for all 6 days of the trip but the last night it stopped. It was somewhat cold Appx 49 degree but nothing crazy that would have frozen the thing up. We drive home today (arkansas WX 60 deg) and we still couldn't get the fan and heater to turn on. We'll take it into camping world (under warrenty) to get it and a few small items looked at, but overall we had a blast and can't thank all of you enouh for all of your advice before we took off on our inaugural trip

Just to recap, you had odor issues when you first started "Jester" up. They went away but did you have any more odor or plastic burning smells? I wonder if the blower fan is defective.

Jester

We did have oder issues when we first ran the hear, but they did go away after 3 subsequent runs. The heat ran fine for four seperate nights and then gave out in the last night. I'm not sure if the blower is defective, but it's starting to look that way.

Sounds like spell checker struck again!!! My guess would be "heater." Noticed in later post he was talking about the "hear!"

Ours smelled like burnt wiring the first time we used the heater.

Perhaps their dealer included an actual Jester with the purchase of the new motorhome!

I personally think that Jesters should never smell like burnt wire. However, they can develop odor issues depending upon what they are fed.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. We have just finished up a 10 month, 32,000 mile trip on our ACE 29.2 and we love our coach.

Congratulations FredKate!😄
Nice to here good stories like that. So did everything work on the ACE the whole trip? Any recommendations for long timing in one? Oh...and does the gas mileage get any better? 7.3 so far for me
