Mandalay 40B house batt. charge trouble

Can't get my house batts. to charge via altenator. Trying to find out how the circuit works with the BIRD. I'm thinking one of the BIG BOY relays will connect the house battery to the chassis battery after the delay. Should the control voltage come from the bird as momentary or constant ??

The BIRD monitors voltage in the 2 banks. When needed, it closes a solenoid which connects the banks together. If you have a Start/Boost switch, this usually operates the same solenoid.

I guess I didn't answer your last question. When the BIRD sees the need to connect the 2 banks, the control voltage is constant to the solenoid to keep it engaged.
