MOEN single handle kitchen faucet install

Installed a MOEN single handle pullout sprayer faucet in my kitchen sink. I did not think I would have an issue but I did. The pex pipe had a female 5/8" and my Moen had a female 3/8". I was able to get a 5/8" OD male compression X 3/8" OD male compression fitting. I just used the fitting minus the ring and compression nut.

It worked good but I have about 2 feet of too much pex pipe. I'm unsure on how to fix this issue without cutting off the pex and having another fitting put on. I don't have those tools to put on another fitting and frankly don't want to mess with the factory fitting. I went back to Lowes to look for a 3/8" OD male compression X 3/8" OD female compression 90 degree elbow but they don't have anything close.

Any ideas?????????

Thanks.

I would go back and ask the person in the plumbing section about either a gator or sharkbite connector for either fitting you want to replace. They dont take any special tool to install and are easy and watertight connection. It does take a tool to remove but its cheap too.

Thanks
Adam

Sharkbite is awesome

Thanks for the information on Sharkbite.

I removed the 5/8 to 3/8 fitting, cut the pex to the right length and installed a 1/2 inch X 3/8 inch OD Sharkbite angle stop 1/4 turn valve

My Moen lines are not crimped anymore now.

The pex is 1/2 inch.
