My new ACE 30.1 ..
I just purchased a new 2015 Thor Ace 30.1 and I have a question about the bedroom. In the rear there is an escape window, but it doesnt have a screen the dealer checked on this and is being told that there is no screen. Such a nice beautiful opening for bugs to come in
Has anyone had the same issue

No screen. Someone in here made a screen that fits in.
I'm waiting to see what you come up with.

It has no screen, BECAUSE it is an ESCAPE WINDOW, after you own it you are free to obstruct that escape route any way you see fit. There is at least 1 screen addition to this window in the "mods" thread:

Congrats and welcome. Enjoy it. I have never opened mine. I see others adding screens and stick bracing to hold it open. Guess that works. I'm in the back to sleep and usually have AC running. DW loves it cold at night.

Not sure why the venting egress window were not installed in these units, but you certainly add a screen and a window stay. We needed the ventilation in our unit and added a screen and an OEM window stay. The window functions great and looks like a factory original.
You could also always just replace the non-venting unit with a venting unit. They are available.
Regards...

I'm confused by this statement. Are you still talking about the rear emergency exit window?
I too would like a way to open and screen it. I am not a huge fan of a/c and would like to find a way to pull more air through with the fantastic fans on at night.

Yes. My coach has the non-vent awning egress window in the rear wall, but my previous trailer had a vent version. There are both versions of the awning egress windows commercially available. I was considering removing the entire window in my coach, frame and all, and replacing it with a vent version, but was able to mod the existing window to allow for ventilation.
Regards...
