Need your advice

I am looking at buying a new Thor Outlaw 37LS, I have read a lot of bad reviews on Thor products. I hate to drop 135,000 on something that will be a big problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You might look at used RVs instead of a new one. If it's used, most of the issues with newly built models have been dealt with by the previous owner. You don't take as large a hit in depreciation. As you have read, buying a new RV doesn't mean trouble free. Having looked at some new units, i'll stick with putting my money in a gently used one.

What Bflinn said: Here's a Super C Outlaw ...

2015 Thor Motor Coach Outlaw Super C 35sg, Dsl Gen, 10k Lb. Hi, Alvarado TX - 113367296 - RVTrader.com

and a class A Outlaw..

2014 Thor Motor Coach Outlaw 37ls W/Slide Toy Hauler, Alvarado TX - 113035870 - RVTrader.com

I looked long and hard at toyhaulers like these. I ended up with a 5th wheel and a pickup. The biggest part on my decision was that I needed a way to get around when the toyhauler is setup in a campground. Secondary consideration was I wanted diesel. The only diesels are the super Cs, and they were expensive and hard to find 2 years ago.

I'm a firm believer that it's the dealer that should be the number one decision. Someone that will look after you and respect your needs should come first. Owning an RV isn't a matter of what will go wrong but when. We found a dealer we trusted and bought a thor product. We have no complaints. In fact we just ordered a new one.

I'm looking at MHSRV, they have the best prices out there and they have a 2014 outlaw with 3,500 miles on it and about 18,000 cheaper than a new one.

If you buy something with Schwintek slides you should look for one that has 3 tracks instead of only 2. In my case I did buy new since they didn't start using the upgraded system until 2015 models.

That's NEVER worked for me, (Fleetwoods, Winnies, and now a Thor owner). I always just shop for the best price, or where it's convenient. And, the best price is rarely, (read NEVER), at the same place with the best service.

Any dealership that honors the manufacturer's warranty has worked out fine with all my RV's.

Purchased and picked up our new Hurricane 34E in Florida, (indulged the kids with a maiden voyage to Fort Wilderness), and drove it home to California. It would be a royal PITA, (but fun, if I had that much free time), to return to the original dealer for warranty work, or regular service.
