Newbie-2008 Presidio 38E Elec Shades

I have owned this Presidio for a year and I seem to have trouble with retracting the electric front driving shade and the electric night shade. Pushing the switch sometimes works but most of the time does not. When pushing the switch it beeps 3 times and does not always retract.
If we are leaving a site I have to roll them up manually.
There is no problem extending either of them, just retracting.

First, let me welcome you to iRV2. We're glad to have you.

Do you know what brand of electric shades you have? Yours may have lost the memory for retracting. For example, we have some MCD motorized shades & they can lose their programming. There is a sequence of events to restore the settings located in the installation/operation manual that came with the shades.

If you can supply us with some further information, there might be a member out there who can help further. I could also move your post to the Thor Industries Owner's Forum (if you'd like) since that might be where other Presidio owners would see your question.

Thank you for that suggestion. Didn't know that electric shades were like that. Of course there is no documentation for these in my packet of paperwork.Thank you for suggesting that maybe I am in the wrong forum. I would appreciate it if you would move me tho the Thor Industries Owner's Forum.

They're probably MCD shades, like those in my 2008 Mandalay. I suggest you contact MCD (MCD Innovations) or Thor Motor Coach (877) 855-2867.

Thanks for the reply. For whatever reason I was able to get the sun visor shade to retract but still trying the night shade. Is there a mfg label somewhere to identify if they are MCD or not. Most companies who don't want the calls from their customers don't put labels on their product...don

Our night MCD shades are screen printed with the name in small letters located on the bottom right of the shade. Can only see it on the night shades (solid cream) as the privacy shades are black mesh & it can hardly be read.

Thanks for all the responses. Yes they are MCD shades. I contacted MCD and they put me on to their tech. He did explain how they worked and he did send the owners manual (pdf). After reading it several times I realized that shades were quality merchandise. I misspoke earlier. I will attempt to reprogram them this morning and let you know how it goes.
