Forgive the dumb question, but being new to the RV world I was wondering about the long term storage of the RV. I have a 2014 Tuscany XTE, and was wondering if I was NOT going to be using the RV for a month or two, is it best to keep the MH plugged in or should I kill all power to the house batteries and the coach batteries. The are cut-off switches for both, so I assume some may be doing this. I simply did not know what the best practice. Are there advantages and/or disadvantages to each?

Also I assume the MH can be upon the leveling jacks for an extended period of time as well. Is it best to store it on the jacks or down?

Lots of opinions on all this: 1-leaving jacks down won't hurt jacks, may save tires--but who really knows; 2- probably best if rig remains plugged in but need to periodically check battery water, if that type of battery; if unplugged, need to disconnect cables from bats as some circuits by-pass the "cut-off" switches and will drain bats in a few days.....

Agreed with above. Keep plugged in at all times. Make sure water levels are good in batteries. I keep mine on jacks if setting for longer than a week.
Are there any strong fundamental reasons in doing so? Nope. But it helps me sleep better at night.

Keep it plugged in. Even if you put the battery switch in the store position there is still some parasitic drain that will run the batteries down. In the winter keeping the coach plugged in will prevent the batteries from freezing, check the water periodically. I always keep the jacks down and while I'm at it I give the legs a good spray of silicone for protection, learned this while attending a Lippert seminar.

Stored our Venetian last year from Nov. to May under a metal canopy with 2 sides and had no power to keep it plugged in. We were parked in sand and did keep the jacks down and shut off power to house batteries and coach batteries. Checked the batteries around Feb and everything was OK.
MH started right up when we picked it up in May. This is on a coach less than 1 year old so not sure how older batteries would handle it.
