No water pressure

We have a Thor ace 30.2 were up here in South Dakota on vacation. I hooked up to the city water yesterday and everything was working fine, then this morning nothing. I went out to check the hose and there was pressure. So I shut off the outside water and turned on my pump and I have water again. It seems that when I checked my pressure outside it seems stronger than normal with my regulator on. What do think? If my regulator failed and I had too much pressure would I had noticed some water in the coach and my on water system still be working ok.

IMO a properly working regulator should never block the flow.
You would perceive a difference in flow when the outside pressure is too high.

As info, the hose connector on your RV has a one way valve in it to stop flow going out of the RV. About a year ago the spring in my valve broke. Resulted in intermittent water flow into the RV. The flow would at times cause the broken valve to close in the wrong direction. After I figured out the problem the only 'on the road' fix I could come up with was to just drill a hole through the valve till it could be replaced.

it's possible that the regulator shut itself off because of the pressure. My opinion only. I have found in the past that when a lot of folks are using the water the pressure will drop, however when not the pressure builds. again only my thoughts. Try closing the faucet handle a turn or two and see if that helps. Did you have any cold weather and a frozen hose or frozen water line? Hope you were able to correct this problem.
