Our new A.C.E. 27.1 2014

Very very few issues, nothing major. The shower door is meant to be opened and closed quickly and with some force and it works fine getting easier all the time. The shower walls are not caulked to the shower pan, they are not supposed to be. There are some spots on the ceiling wall paper near the plastic seams that are crinkled and the wall paper near the sink top is loose. Torn passenger side curtain liner. Original battery coach battery was dead but I planned on replacing it anyway with two 6v 360 Ah Trojans, done. A size 27 or 31 12v battery deep cycle just won't hack it. Center rear camera goes on and off now mostly on now. Tank gauges screwing up. Possible hydraulic fitting leaking. Dealer is getting Thor approval to repair everything. Fixed squeaking table legs with black vinyl tape. Secured pantry and step door with snaps.

We love the coach. Perfect size. Tons of interior storage. High quality. Next is to install a 3000w inverter with its own transfer switch. Putting inverter in the battery compartment. Transfer switch and separate 120v panel will go under table seat where the other electrical stuff is.

Congratulations! It is always nice to hear from a senior member of iRV who just bought a new ACE re-affirming that they are great products!

Have fun with your new coach!

I just got a call from my friend who just bought a new 29.2, even after reading all the posts about Thor quality. He had a new Forest River FR3 that was just a total pile. He was lucky enough to sell it and not loose too much, he found a deal ona new 29.2 so he spent a day going over every inch of it and seems to be happy with his purchase. Definately happy with the full body paint. He is a handy guy who has had a few of these rigs, so he can handle the issues that will come up. Will be fun to see how his ownership goes with the ACE.

Forest Gump, Congrats on your ACE purchase. We have had our 29.2 for a year now and could not be happier. Safe travels and happy camping to you.
Regards,
Ted
