Scott,
Thought you were ordering OEM ones from TMC(?)

These homemade ones and the mini-van consoles I picked up are probably a better idea having the extra storage.

After TMC made a big deal about all the parts needed, the cost they wanted and how they said they probably won't attach to the walls I gave up on the factory idea.

Digital locking handle

Eric got the Bauer digital locking handle installed today. He said it was very easy to put on and easy to program the code he wanted.

There is only one "lock" on the handle, the deadbolt - so on the inside there is only one lock switch to deal with. This will be nice for my step-dad; he always seems to have an issue figure out which way to turn the switches to get both locks unlocked.

Here is how it looks installed:

Only two cons, both of which are not a huge deal.

1) The handle has a bit of a different shape so you have a bit of a paint line. It almost looks like they paint after the door handle hardware is installed, not before.

Anyone know a good place to order touch-up paint? My dealer said that Thor does not allow them to sell touch up paint. WTH?

2) The inside handle is a bit close to the opening of the screen. If you have larger hands you are only getting the tips of your fingers under the handle. Nothing that a screen bar can't fix.

Banging noise behind drivers seat slide while driving 2014.5 LS

Having a hard time narrowing it down cause It often happen while traveling alone. Almost sounds like the slide out is moving? I never used those slide locks, so I pulled over and tried to install them to see if it fixed the problem, but couldn't get them to stay in.

I built the cup/map holder. It's 1/2" aspen from Lowes. It's mostly doweled and glued together. I also used a few 23 gauge pins. I did my best to mix up some stain to match the cherry in my coach. It cost about $50 in wood, stain and parts to build. I probably spent at least 10 hours on it. So, my investment was likely more than a store bought one, but it matches nicely.

I think it was worth the time investment and if you are like me, doing things like this is actually enjoyable.

2104.5 LS Speed Governor at 76 MPH?

When we hit 76 Mph some sort of governor kicks in. Engine will rev higher, but speed will not exceed 76. This stinks. Anybody know how to override this?

On the 5star tune it is governed at 77. My husband recalls reading that in the stats.

The default tune is probably similar.

These are drive by wire systems, the only way to get around that is to install a new tune.

Mike can set the governor higher if you want. I contacted him after installing his tune to have him revise it to hold the shift points longer when towing. The ride down to Gulf Shores and the ride back were completely different. He emailed it to me and I had it installed before I headed home

Scott, I'm liking your post on the LED outside lights, thanks for that. (page 40 on this thread) Did you replace the back outside lights also? (the ones up high by the rear view camera). If so are they the same? Thanks.

I didn't replace those since I seldom use them, just when loading or unloading at night.

Latest fix for me, the transfer switch was going south. I was on the fence about using an Esco since everyone says they are bulletproof or using another Progressive Dynamics since that would be a quick swap out with no change of wire lengths or mounting holes. The Progressive won out and took about 20 to 30 minutes to swap.

Coming up next... 480 watts of solar is being installed on the 23rd, stay tuned.

I guess I will use this as the before photo:

Scott,

What is plugged-in under that flip-up panel just behind the rear ext speaker, in the before pic?

I have no such plug/panel(?) My 110VAC from the coach system is inside a panel with the ext stereo. If it is 110 out...are you doing something to back feed the coach or just using the outlet for a project?

Thanks

That is the factory installed exterior outlet. I had the Battery Minder on the Chassis battery the day I took the photo. You don't have an exterior outlet? This one is so handy! This is where I plug in those LED awning lights I installed.

I used a little bark to prop it open for you
