Neither of these takes a wiz kid to figure out what is wrong with the product, no QC.

The 2014 Hurricane we just got rid of had the same problem with the front curtains. That was just one of the many problems with unit, I wonder what the 200 quality checks were, wasn't fit and finish and quality materials. It was used a total of 8 weeks and a piece of junk overall.

Actually, the problem with the curtains has nothing to do with QC, and everything to do with initial design of the product. The curtain backing disintegrates with exposure to UV light! They look perfect when they are new, and that is what a Quality Control check would inspect for.

Even with this ridiculous design flaw they will last for years if you have some kind reflective foil between the window and curtain when in storage, (or if full-timing), or a cover on the outside when storing the motorhome for the off-season.

We bought it new this way. I doubt if uv exposure had anything to do with it in that time frame. The coach was on the lot with the curtains closed. Putting a shield between the curtain and the windshield is out of the question. BTW we have no down season, we r in Southern California.

Certainly looks like sun damage, if you bought it in that condition as a new coach it should have been a warranty item.
