Polish and Wax Time

We have owned our Challenger a year now, and it was time to consider polishing and protecting the paint. I looked on line at many products and videos, and was concerned about trying to do this myself. I am very happy with the results I got using the one step polish product from Griots Garage that I ordered on line. I bought their orbital buffer, pads, polish, and it had made my motor home look new again. I had marks at the top of both sides from trees at some RV parks we backed into by mistake, and this stuff either took of the marks completely, or has covered them where they are not that noticeable. I had some spots where the paint had very bad swirls from the factory or dealer, that are now gone. I spent 3 half days working on this project, and about $250 on the supplies. Very happy with the results. If you are a do it yourself person, this worked great for me.

I have used several products including

Dry Wash & Guard
RV-Solution
Turtle Wax ICE
Turtle Wax ZIP
Mcguier's
and others.

Some were easier (I liked Zip Wax but it's normally expensive, I bought it at fire sale prices so it was not).

One thing I can tell you is this: Before you wax take a trip, Record gas use and compute MPG.

Do it again after you wax.
