Popping noise

So, think we have figured out the popping noise in the back is from the levelling jacks. Does this sound right, can it be fixed, is it something to be worried about? There is no leaking. Really annoying. 2014 Tuscany 36MQ

More than likely the air bags are popping while being extended. If you put air in the air bags before you raise the jacks it should eliminate the popping sound.

Also be sure to retract the slides before airing up the air bags. Not that this has an effect on the sounds you hear but it is the recommended practice for our motorhomes. Other manufacturers may have a different preferred method but in our case retract, air up the air bags and then retract the jacks.

Ours had a 'popping' noise. My description of the noise may be different from yours.

Anyway some say it could be air in the lines.

In our case not sure what it was. Went in for a leak in the lines by the pump and ended up with a new set of jacks. Popping and leak went away.

This is happening when we are parked, airbags up and jacks are down. It doesn't matter if we are parked on pavement or gravel. It randomly pops when we are walking in the rig or sleeping. Also thought initially is was the air bags but it only happens when we are parked. Also doesn't matter if it is cold or hot outside.

Try doing this: When you are parked and before you put the slides out and put the jacks down, dump the air in the bags. Then level with the jacks and then put the slides out.

Thanks. That is just the sequence we do it in. I have emailed Thor to see if they can advise. Will keep you posted
