Could someone tell me why the RCA TV would not turn on or off by using the button on the front panel of the TV. To do anything with the TV I would have to use the remote. I was told it got like that when the electric went out in the park.

It could have something to do with the park power if you do not have the coach protected with a Surge Guard or similar device. However, my bedroom TV front controls work in very slow motion. If I press a front TV button it seems the TV must think about the task, for several seconds, before taking action. Also, the front buttons need to be firmly pressed and held for a second or two. It has been like this since day one. The remote works perfectly.

This is just a wild guess, but I would guess that this is happening because the button is broken. It happens all the time with various electronic components and it's only worse in an RV where you take household equipment and shake the crap out of it while driving down the road.

Just last week we were camping and it stated to rain lighty and i forgot to install the portable SURGE GUARD . The power was reading in low 102 volts and then we were in a bad thunder storm and it was hot outside so everyone had their a/c going hard.
It must have gotten a spike and it mess up all the software the TRAC VISION R5 in- motion satellite system with the 15 inch white dome.Got to dealer and I had the premuim extented warranty they just replaced the whole unit with a brand new 2008 version and i request the new black dome no cost to me full warranty . It without the extented warranty would have cost me $975 for board plus 2 hours of labor then another 2 hours of labor for downloading new software. it would have been over $1,600 out of my pocket. Now i have the 2008 Trac vision R6 in - motion with the new 12 inch black dome more powerful and with GPS and electric DOME RAIN SHEILD for $2,950 plus the cost of installation .will never forget to plug in the SURGE GUARD ever again. . Now i need to have someone remove does A/C covers and have them painted black :
KVH has my business great product and they go the extra mile to pleased the customers
The other unit R5 in-motion was only 14 months old.and working 5 tv's in the M/H, now i have full warranty till 2012 on this 2008 unit.
