Relay location
Does anybody have an idea where the relay in a 2001 or so Hurricane is located that is operated by the chassis disconnect switch by the entrance steps?
My switch is not doing anything anymore. The switch itself is OK, I assume the relay is stuck. It seems to control the step switch, too. I cannot stop the steps from going in/out, each time the door is opened/closed.
Any help i finding this relay is very much appreciated!

I'm not sure about your Hurricane, but mine is located on the driver's side firewall. It is in the Battery Control Center box. The battery disconnect relay solenoid is located behind the circuit board.

Thanks! I checked there, and I have this Control Center at that location. But I have not found the disconnect relay there.

That is a mighty HEFTY relay/solenoid for an electric step.
The relay for my Kwikee entry step is a small (about 1" X 1" X 1" ?) cube that looks like this:
(On my coach it is located in the engine compartment).

I thought OP was looking for the Battery Disconnect Relay.

Yes, because I think that is the culprit that my step cannot be turned off. Both, the step switch and the chassis battery switch do not work. I think both are somehow tied together with that big klutz of a relay.

The battery compartment is a possible location.

On my coach the Kwikee electric step is operated by "house battery" power.
The "chassis battery switch", which controls the OFF/ON operation of that "big klutz of a relay" has nothing to do with the operation of the Kwikee step, (or with the operation of anything else that is powered by the house batteries).
However you may have a problem with your "salesman switch", or with the big rely your salesman switch uses to turn OFF/ON the "house battery 12V" for the Kwikee step...(and for the lights, fans and appliances in the cabin of the coach).

Mine has nothing else but three batteries in it.

The off switch for the house batteries works fine, it is the off switch for the chassis batteries does not work, and also the off switch for the steps is not working. Both stopped working at the same time. That is the reason that I believe I have a problem with that big relay.
It is very unlikely that both, the relay and the off switch for the steps died at the same time.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post. Thought you were talking about the coach battery solenoid. Mine does not have a chassis battery disconnect switch.
