Rental cars in / around Wakarusa?

We are going to be arriving at the service center on Sunday, Feb 25 for a visit. We are planning on being there thru Tuesday nite or Wednesday Morning.
Few Enterprise locations around Elkhart are open on Sunday, and we are coming from the southeast. In the past we have just planned to pick up the car at a reasonably convenient location on our way in, so we could drop it on our way out.
Since we are going to place that is special to the readers of this forum, I thought that a Wizard of Wakarusa may have another option that we don't know about. TIA.

Night drop?

When I was a frequent business traveler, I would ask/ensure rental car outlets would allow the cars return with a drop box if their offices were closed.

Not all do this...but worth asking.

Best luck

Thanks. I am more worried about being able to pick it up on Sunday so We don’t have to worry about it Monday morning.
Unless I find something different we will probably pick one up in Ft Wayne. I just hope the resident DA remembers not to get a vehicle with a black interior since we have a solid white dog but also have a solid black and now a brindle colored puppy, so I guess it doesn’t matter as much.

Sorry to misunderstand. Your plan sounds best for a Sunday pick-up.

Many people forego a Toad for this use of local rental cars.

Best luck

don't know of any rental car places in Wakarusa, it's such a small town... though you might a local taxi/van service there... with it's southern proximity to Elkhart, I'm sure something is available.
of course, you could come up thru Indy and find something there, though that's a long way... and Ft Wayne may feel out of the way for you from the South, but it's probably just as fast as any other route.

Drove to Wakarusa many times from Atlanta and every route has it's drawbacks, though on a Sunday you should be fine, traffic wise. I've even gone all the way to the Toledo bypass and taken I80 to Elkhart and down to Wakarusa... it's probably just as fast, though more miles and a toll : / but, worth it for the nice roads... any roads between I75 and Wakarusa are not going to be fast or fun.

The really fun crapshoot will be the weather between hither and yon. I guess the biggest part of the route is TBA late the week that we leave. We are leaving early Friday afternoon from the Raleigh RV show and plan on mooch docking along the way. MapQuest shows about 12 hours, so I am planning on about 16 or so. Depending on traffic and weather, I may try teaching SWMBO to drive some.
I'll look at the Max Klinger Expressway and see what that option looks like. My biggest thing is being able to pick and deliver the car back along our route.
