Rock Solid Tow Guards

We installed the Rock Solid Tow Guards today on our 1997 33SL Hurricane. Way to much fun deciding how to best do this.

I wanted it as close to the back as possible, but not in the way of the trailer hitch and lights hookup.

Ended up using 2 - 1" by 1" by 1/8 inch by 4' angle irons to attach to the frame just forward of the trailer hitch setup. Tied it into the cross over between the frame sections for the spare tire mount.

Hopefully this will keep road trash and rocks of the toad.

Cheers

Mine has kept our toad free of scars for three years. Hope yours does too.

Good job. I did the same thing with my Rock Solid and have not had a problem in 15,000 miles of towing. The secret is mounting it as far back as you can without leaving a gap for the stones to get through.
