Solar setup on 2016 Tuscany XTE 36MQ

After two years finally got courage to climb up on the roof and was surprised to find a plastic assembly for a Solar panel hookup. Has anyone added solar to the 36MQ?

I'm sure they have - the 'pre wire' from Thor is typically wiring to/from the roof and the battery bay compartment, where you would normally install a Solar controller for your panels. It could also terminate in the Inverter compartment on your model.

We have a 2017 Venetian so I'm not sure if the Solar return wires will be in the same bay. On the Venetian, the two wires terminate in the bay with the Inverter and they were wrapped by black electrical tape. I think the color was orange & white.
I added 2, 24v flex panels to the roof and held them down with eternabond tape. Used MC4 connectors and connected the two panels in parallel.
In the bay I installed a EPEVER 40A MPPT controller with a MT50 remote meter.
I ran wires from the controller direct to the house batteries.
Everything works great.

Hope this helps you.

about the same setup as I have.... sometimes 10amps during really full sun, and sometimes a lot less when parked under trees for shade ; _ )

I have a 16 MQ. Wires are in the inverter compartment.
