Using a 2008 Damon Tuscany 4072 with 360 ISC as Mothership.
Last Sunday while driving South on Interstate 75...........ALL STOPPED.
Got a "Stop Engine" lamp and we went into limp mode after 62k great miles.
Called Freightliner Customer Service and determined the error codes were from Cummins. Well, Cummins said the fault codes were wrong and the real codes point to a plugged Exhaust System. Freightliner walked me thru the procedure for a manual regeneration.
OK, start the motor and use the switch to engage the Regeneration process.
Wait......."WHAT SWITCH".
It seems that Damon chose to NOT install the switch in the dash.
It was found in the wiring bundle buried in the Dash, again Thanks Freightliner for helping me to even find the thing.
Regeneration lamp flashes on the dash, NO Switch in sight, NO instruction in either owner's manual.........what's a guy to do.
Be ready to camp out for 4 days while the Exhaust system is taken apart, sent out and then reassembled.
I still gotta have the switch installed......
Be SURE you know where your Regeneration switch is buried!
Oh and how to use it.

The EPA has made so many good decisions for us haven't they? My 08 F350 SuperDuty would shoot a steady 8" flame out the exhaust during parked regens - if a car were to be right near the exhaust, say like in a parking lot, im sure it would have caught it on fire. Not to mention the horrible foul odor of the burnt soot - I'd rather smell diesel smoke than regen smoke, AND when it decided to go into Active Regen when you're towing a trailer - 35mph on the highway isn't safe.
Best decision I ever made was getting a 'tuner' that allowed me to remove the entire DPF system, for testing purposes of course :-)

On the dash, Under the access panel will be a huge CLUMP of wires that are bundled together. You need to cut the wire ties and dig.
You will find a switch on about 7 foot of wire labeled " Regen SW ".
There is a safety catch that you must slide to push the button down.
That's the one..............
Good luck finding a nice place to mount it and instructions on how to use it.

Damon left a couple things off my coach too.. I spent a ton of time looking for the "NUT" that I'm supposed to wrench on to manually move my main slide.. Guess what. They never installed it.

thanks but let me make sure i understand you
the switch is "ON" the wire labeled "regen SW" correct. SO i am looking for the wire and a switch.
my book states the regen manually should probably never have to happen, as the engine is loaded enough at speed to ensure the exhaust is hot enough to burn off the soot build up.....but it also states about the lights for regen and .....a regen switch....but like you i dont have one on the dash.
thanks again... .guess i will go spelunking under the dash again, or through the top access cover
