Tahoe 23 FB question from a new member

Hello all. Just bought a 2006 Tahoe 23FB in excellent condition and have just about figured most things out now. When installing a second battery I came across a pair of wires tied up with the battery cables that looks as if they have never been connected. I followed them back to the water pump where they seem to be connected with the water pump wiring. Any idea what these were supposed to be used for? Possibly a connection for the water pump if no batteries were installed?
