Thor 30.1 Slide Warranty

We have had our Thor 30.1 for 9 months - and have only really been using it for the past 3 months. We have a stain where the large driver side slide modeling joins to the vinyl. So, we took it to an authorized warrantee repair shop to have it and several other issues (Norcold refrig would either freeze fresh food or go to 70 degrees which makes it hard to keep food in the frig), and a number of other minor issues (the curtains cloth loops breaking! which is a pain).

The authorized warrantee repair shop called us to say that the slide is only covered for 90 days from leaks--the shop found that there was no caulking around the slide.

We were surprised by this and wanted to confirm with others that the slides are only covered for 90 days. We live in California--so 90 days could easily be during the no rainy season!

Thanks

..we have the Thor ACE 29.2 2013 and recently the slide would not come in or go out..fortunately we purchased an extended warranty and were in Cody Wyoming...our repair shop did all the calling and arranging for the needed parts...our slide came with the plastic sliders ...Thor and lippert/schw sent the updated replacement parts and now all is well. The total cost was over $4000 we had to pay $800 and so far all is good.

I believe everything has at least a 1 year warranty, after that some things have longer manufacturer warrantys. I would call THOR and find out!

I have a Windsport 34F and currently having my slide mechanism replaced under the 1 year warranty provision. Apparently, they upgraded the Schwintek slides to 3 gear mechanism and a larger motor AFTER mine was built. Unfortunately, they are only going to replace with the old mechanism which may be a problem if it breaks again since they only provide a 1 year warranty and that is all. I would have preferred having the beefier mechanism installed but they declined.
