Thor Ace 29.2 2013 Black Water Smells

when standing outside motorhome next to black water tank you can smell an odour. Also inside motorhome. Washed black water tank storage compartment and leave compartment door open when parked to air out.Problem is there is no visual problem ,no visable leaks anywhere. Toilet is holding water in bowl, black water compartment dry, masiator hose is dry. Hoping someone else had this problem and figured it out and would share. thanks in advance for any info.

Odd. You are using a good black water tank deodorant? The dump valves are closed and sealed? Do you leave at least a gallon of clean water in the bottom of the tank after cleaning to hold the deodorant?

Try "Happy Camper". I have been using it for years and have no smells, whatsoever. Just Google it online and order some. It will take care of the smell and dissolve all the solids in the black tank. One container, lasts a long time.

I've been fighting this, I've narrowed mine to a small leak or pin holes in the flexible hose that runs from the hard pvc valves to the macerator. I'm planning to replace this hose once i can find a replacement. One other member here commented about having pin holes in the hose so that is what i'm hoping for. The whole compartment stinks and radiates up through the holes underneath the bathroom sink that the water lines come up through. I'll let you know if this solves my issue but this is where i recommend you looking. It doesn't look like the hose clamp closest to the macerator has much to attach to.

I also have the smell in the compartment, haven't noticed it yet inside the motorhome thankfully.
