Thor ACE 30.1 Owners Unite!!

Seems to be every model of Thor hear except the 30.1. So I thought I would start a post for one.

Are you out there?

So far so good with mine. Knock on wood! Just little stuff. Except the Generator fried itself and burnt my door to the generator.

Ours is a 2015 and it has been great. Two problems the "P" trap under the kitchen sink leaked but I just had to take it apart and re-position the gasket. Then I found a power steering leak, very small but un-acceptable. This was taken care of by Ford warranty with no problem either. Ford dealer worked around my schedule even though I did have to make two trips because they did not have the parts on hand. Jim.

So, other than the unit almost burning itself up, you're happy, eh?

Wow.

Every day is a good day that you are on this side of the grass! Cummings took care of everything.

I have a 2015 and like it fine. Spent 2 months in CO this summer. AC side of water heater quit but found faulty wiring, could have been a fire. A few small things but mostly little things. I replaced the sofa with two recliners, added dash speakers. satellite radio and TV, additional cup holders, additional matress pad to overhead bed, roof vent covers and a few other comfort items.

We have a 2014 that we love. Plenty of issues and crazy stuff but I love it anyway. Many mods and tweaks later...

New 30.1 owners

We just purchased a 2016 ACE as our first RV and so far we've been very happy. Looking forward to our first extended camping trip soon!

Have been looking for recliners that will work in slide for some time now. What brand and model? Any pictures? Installation problems? Thanks

Recliners in ACE 30.1

I ordered mine from Camping World. Measure the width of your slide and select the components that fill it up, recliners and/or consoles. In my case I used two recliners and a 9 in console between to make 70 inches. I had to set them a little forward in the slide, they hang over just a little, to allow full reclining but we're happy. I used a some 1X4 spacers where needed to level and lag screws for hold down, just be careful with length and location so as not to interfere with the slide motion. The seat belts thread through the cushions and are still functional. I have pictures if I could just figure out how to post them. Maybe someone can help me with that or I can send them in an email.

Owner of 2015 30.1 here.
Overall have been very pleased with my purchase. Questions and comments from people all the time. IMO, it is a sharp class a for a pretty decent price.

I don't sweat it over the small imperfections as I have found they all have them.

Would recommend an ACE to anyone without reservation.
