Thor Four Winds

My brother is looking at a slightly used (4,000 mi) Thor Four Winds Model 26A Class C motorhome. Any and all advice based on experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
DonL

Since 2 days have past with no owner responses, I will offer a few facts about Four Winds.

The Four Winds/Chateau Class C's are currently the #1 best selling Class C in America.

Four Winds has been around for years and was acquired by Thor a few years back, then used to create Thor Motor Coach (TMC) in 2010 along with Damon and Mandalay Luxury Coach. These RV's are well built and offer the designs, floor plans, and price point that buyers want.

Four Winds and now TMC use all standard off-the-shelf systems for everything from the chassis to the kitchen. There will be no one-off systems that you can't find parts for - like some boutique brands that only build 15-20 RV's a week.

Buying used means that unless someone is offering, there's no warranty. So, be a smart shopper and best luck!

I have a 31 ft 2002 Four Winds that has been fantastic. I bought it in 2012 with 18000 miles on the engine and 64 hrs on the gen. I have been to Yellowstone, Salt Lake City, ALB NM on a one month trip with absolutely no problems. The last trip was to New England then down to Crystal River FL back to AL. It has been garaged since new.Someone said on a forum that it was a low end RV. If so their high end RV's must be awesome.
