THOR Hurricane 29m, Newbie

I believe we have narrowed the search down to the Thor Hurricane 29m. This will be our first motorhome, and could not be more excited. My questions are:
1) likes or dislikes of the 29m?
2) problems should need to know about
3) what you wish it had

Thank you so much.

I was told some of the nicest people I will ever meet will be RV owners. It has been true so far, thank you for your hospitality.

Welcome to the forum, Texhome!

Congrats on finding the right coach for you. Out of curiosity, what other coaches did you consider and what put the Hurricane over the top?

Also, how do you intend to use the coach? Weekends and annual vacations? You are retired and plan to drive across the country for several months? Other?

Exiting, isn't it?

My wife and I purchased a Hurricane 29m about 9 months ago. We have done about 12,000 miles and spent about 75 nights in the rig so far. We love it so far and have had no major problems. As to be expected there have been a few warranty repairs but nothing too significant.

Our likes on this model/floor plan - can access everything when the slide is in, king size bed, outdoor kitchen

Dislikes - only 2 battery house bank, we added 2 more batteries and 3000 watt inverter.

Enjoy, it's a nice rig at an affordable price.

Texhome, welcome aboard!
Having things useable with the slide(s) in is a nice bonus and adds a lot of flexibility.
Enjoy!

Welcome from another 29M owner. Several 29M owners have been doing lots of mods to our rigs. You can join the group here.

We have a 29M Windsport, sister to the Hurricane, and love it. Lots of usable space and storage make the 29M seem a lot bigger than it really is. This is our second Thor and we are very happy with it. Follow the link that halfprice posted above to see all the fun things you can spend time and money on. The outside kitchen is a great feature that is very useful. Lots of inside storage. I wish the shower was a little bigger but only so much can be fitted in a coach this size. The mattress is pretty poor but a foam topper fixed that. Would we buy another 29M, absolutely, we love it!!!
