Thor Vegas

Looking for anyone who has a Thor Vegas motorhome. We have narrowed down our search to this manufacturer and model, but want to know any positive or negative comments anyone has.

Welcome to the forum!

I think the Thor Vegas and Axis are pretty much the same units with different names. If you don't get any good responses to this post, you can try the search bar toward the top of this page. Just enter "Thor Vegas" and click search button. Should bring up several threads on them. Here is an example:

Which model did you buy? The bride and I have decided on a 25.2. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but hopefully soon.

The 25.1 itís a 2015 model with 12k miles. We would have been happy with any of the floor plans .
My daughter wants the overhead bunk , my wife and I will take the back bunk and my son will go into the dinette bunk . Either of the models has the same 3 areas. So we saw pros and cons with each . So I just looked for the cleanest one in my budget . Turned out to be the 25.1 . The pro is more usable living space . We Had a dedicated bedroom on our last coach which was great for sleeping , but wasted space any other time , bc nobodyís really gonna just ride and sit on the bed in the back . Thie 25.1 has a small living room back there . Con - when it turns into a bed , that bed is slightly smaller and more uncomfortable than a dedicated , all bed set up . Getting mattress toppers cut to Fit

The dinette , seats 4 for a meal , we couldnít imagine ourselves sitting 4 across the 24.1 couch for meals . Or eating separately in the front seats with the tiny table while the kids sat at the couch portion of the other models . So we got used to the idea of the 25.1 . But really , we had 2. Other Rvís and all the other Vegas models on our radar

Sounds like you've got it figured out. Is the 2015 on an E-350 chassis or an E-450? Not sure it makes much difference. One thing that swayed us toward the 25.2 is that the only slide is on the rear of the coach. Coming from a class c with major water damage, I'm leary of slides or any thing else that pokes through the body. Hopefully the rear slide won't be a problem. The other thing I like about the 25.2 is that there is no dedicated dinette. All our kids are grown and gone, so it is just me and the missus, with the occasional foray with the grand kids. For us, a dinette is wasted space.

Good luck with the new rig and I can't wait to hear how the shake down voyage goes!

Thanks, i don't imagine its going to be the greatest time. going alone , splitting up the drive into 2 6 hour legs. the coach is winterized , so i plan on leaving it that way, so no bathroom or shower. dish not hooked up, bedding not washed, so i plan on buying new bedding and pillows and a mattress topper when i get there, and prolly a space heater, just in case furnace has water on the circuit board. figuring out the new coach , figuring out whats wrong with it all while driving for 2 days. dosen't sound like a rockin new years eve. but hopefully , it will all be worth it.

I have a 25.2. we travel part time. There are two of us and a reluctant travel dog. Pros: the smaller size, towing capacity, ease of set up(if we arrive to a site in the rain, we can plug in power(or not) and defer everything else.), Visibility (do have blind spots on each side forward though), range, milage, Storage(just enough inside and out), power, 6 Spd transmission, tow haul mode. cons: noisey in driving area, windshield wiper switch location, radio is a pain to get used to, automatic night shade programming, height (Low)of tank drain. Mods:I added a Safe-T-Plus steering control and now it handles great. Added a spare, made smaller tables with cup holders to save space.
We've gone almost 20,000 miles and it's been a pleasure.

What year is your 25.2? With the 6 speed, it must be at least a 2016. Have you had any problems with the rig? My wife and I love the size and layout of the coach, but I'm concerned about overall quality and customer support. I've read love stories as well as horror stories regarding Thor in both of those areas. I know that hold true of every manufacturer, but I want hear from some happy owners and it sounds like you're one. We want to full time in a couple of years and this rig seems perfect for us. I know some people think it's too small, but we are seriously downsizing and we want a smaller rig. It's sounding more perfect every day. Thank you for sharing!

Its 2016.. on a E450 chassis. Oh I left out our favorite feature. The bathroom! 36"x36" shower is great. We only had to have a loose tank heater pad replaced. Everything else was ok. For full timing I would want a living area slide like the 25.6 or 27.7. It is a little friendly on rainy days without that.

Are you an RV salesman? JK, but you are making it hard to walk away! I'm not terribly concerned about the room. We last had a class C with no slides, with a similar layout. Now we weren't full-timing, but we never had any issues on extended trips. It did get cozy from time to time, but we never minded. As a matter of fact, until recently, we were thinking of an ultralight trailer to full-time in; like a Casita or a Scamp 5th wheel but decided to go a little bigger. Am I crazy? Most likely. I can probably present evidence that would convince a jury!

What part of the country are you in? Mountains? Have you towed with it? What do you dislike about it?

Thank you so much for your input. Hope you have many happy and safe miles in your rig!

We live in the mountains of Western North Carolina (a town called Waynesville). We routinely tow a Hundai Elantra 4down. It pulls it anywhere easily. We use a Blu ox towbar and have a blue ox Patriot supplement brake for the Toad. Happy travels.
