Traveling Crack on Window of Palazzo 33.2

After setting up camp yesterday I saw a crack in front windshield! It was not present when we started out yesterday morning. We know a rock/pebble never struck it during our trip. Has anyone on the forum experienced this issue?

Get it taken care of before you have to replace the entire windshield. We had a crack in ours, but it was caused by a rock or something hitting it.

Yes, when parked in Reno, at an RV Park, a few years ago. We were sitting in our coach having a cup of coffee, and heard a cracking-popping noise, which was quite loud. Looking around we saw the front windshield had cracked. Never really determined the source, although the coach was "level", and we never had another problem, we suspected it was the levelers.

Never had that issue--some time back I remember reading about some model having problems with the auto-level causing windshield issues. It was not on the Palazzo.

May not have been installed correct if it is a new coach. Have it inspected to make sure. There have been several threads on here about windshields just breaking while stopped, etc. Seems like it has to be in a bind of some kind. Mine was not attached all the way to the front cap, and had a hole in the gasket on the top ( water was coming in). We were in New Mexico driving home, and the wind was blowing about 30 mph, and blew some dust and one small pebble that we struck, and cracked our wind shield. I had to pay for it, but still believe the windshield was not installed correct.

Traveling Crack on Window of Palazzo 33.2

This crack is located on inside of windshield. We did have outside struck once by rock that bounced off dump truck but that was toward lower quadrant near passenger and we had it patched the next day. We have put over 9,000 miles on this unit without issue so really can't explain why except perhaps an item pressed against this area which caused the dual crack.

Do you recall the cost to replace the windshield?

My windshield was about $2500. My insurance deductible was $1000 for glass. Check your insurance, some have glass coverage with lower deductibles. We learned that lesson.
