Does the air suspension Freightliner chassis under the Tuscany not dump air before leveling?

I am asking on behalf of a neighbor. I don't know the year model of his coach, but I would estimate 05-06 or older. I noticed when he leveled the coach on a fairly flat spot, he first drove the driver front tire up on blocks, then he put 4"+ blocks under the leveling jacks, and then he lowered the jacks (automatic system). I realized after he was leveled that he had to do the blocks thing to get level because the air suspension did not dump. When I asked, he said it does not dump before leveling, and that there is not manual dump button. Is he right? ...or is he missing something? Does the Tuscany Freightliner air suspension chassis not dump before leveling?

the lippert leveler needs to be recalibrated , there is a procedure int eh book or at lipperts site, takes about 20 minutes to do
or call lippert and they can walk you through it

hope it helps

Are you saying the air bags should be dumping when the system levels? ...is that what recalibrating the leveler system would accomplish?

LEVEL ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
Before auto-leveling features are available, the Level Zero point must be set. This is the point to which the system will return
when an auto leveling cycle is initiated.
To set the zero point (controller module must be fully secured in production intent location), first run a manual leveling sequence
to get the vehicle to the desired level point. Then activate the Level Zero point configuration mode.
This mode is enabled by performing the following sequence:
1. Turn panel off. Then turn panel on.
2. Perform the following:
-Press the FRONT switch 5 times.
-Press the REAR switch 5 times.
3. At this point all LED outputs will blink, and the buzzer will be off.
4. You are now in IDLE mode ready to set Zero Point.
5. With a carpenter’s level, manually level the coach. This will give the leveling controls the reference point for the
Zero Point Configuration.
6. When coach is completely leveled manually press the RETRACT ALL switch 3 times to set the zero point.
For DIESEL UNITS with Airbag Suspensions ONLY:
NOTE - You may also enter zero mode per above at anytime the system is in IDLE mode. The user then has control to extend
any pair of jacks while in zero mode in order to position the vehicle properly prior to programming.
AIR AND AUXILIARY FEATURE CONFIGURATION
For DIESEL UNITS with Airbag Suspensions ONLY:
· Feature is entered ONLY after zero mode programming.
· At this point the WAIT LED will blink for 20 seconds. You are now in Air/Auxiliary Feature Configuration mode.
To enable Air Auxiliary features, perform the following:
· Press the RETRACT ALL switch 3 times
· User must do this within 20 seconds of entering this mode.
To disable Air features, perform the following:
· Do nothing
· After 20 seconds, module will exit mode with features disabled.

Thanks -- that should do it! And I think I see his problem...

I note at the bottom of the instructions a reference to "Air features." And note that if someone recalibrates the leveling system to "level point zero", and then does nothing more the air features are disabled!! So an owner who isn't paying attention to the directions/doesn't understand the directions -- or a tech who is used to calibrating the system on a coach w/o air suspension -- could by doing nothing, turn off the automatic air dump and not have a clue what they have done.
