Vegas Vs C Class

Hi, everyone!

I am looking to go full-time.

I am wanting to stay within that sweet spot of 25/27ft. Max.

I have been looking closely at a 2016/17 Thor Vegas. I really like the Vegas lines overall. From what I understand it is a Class A but sits on class C.

Can anyone give me a breakdown between a similar size class C on what I may or may not be missing out on with buying a Thor Vegas Vs another similar class C?

Bonus question. What should I real world expect to pay for a Thor Vegas 2016/2017?

Thanks!

Hans

The main difference as I see it is the driver and passenger seats and road visibility, which imo favors the Vegas. Vegas may, repeat may, have more exterior storage but it all depends on which C class you look at. In the class C you should have more cab area crash protection.

Besides what Tom has mentioned to you... You don't really say which model of Vegas you want to go with(they are all around 25-27'), or what type of class C. Not sure what you mean by the sweet spot of 27 feet.
The smallest Vegas is on the E350 chassis. For gas class C,s usually under 27' they would be on a E350 or Chevy chassis. The E350 chassis GCWR is 3,5K less than the E450. If you want to tow you may be better off with the E450. The wheel base on the Class C would be greater then the Vegas. I find the wind affect on a class C not as bad as a class A but I have never driven a Vegas, so not sure being on a E350 or E450 if it is better than a F53 or Freightliner. Maybe some Vegas or Axis owners can help you there.

You are also talking about full timing in an entry level unit that is price pointed to folks who will take a long trip of 2 weeks.

There is no sweet spot at 27 ft. Too short to be comfortable, too long to skip a toad.
