We had some new members along with us tailgating yesterday and one of the guys turned the handle knob to lock before he exited.
I keep my keys on the console until we leave so I know where they are at all times. Previously I had them in a coat pocket which I then decided to not take with us into the game. Obviously I discovered this when I tried to lock the basement compartments.

Fortunately I knew how thin the metal arms are for the windows. So, I stood on a step stool and with moderate force pulled on the bottom of the window. After about 10 seconds, pop, the window pulled off track. Gotta love Thor quality!

So today I'll drill the rivets out of where it attaches to the frame and place the rollers back in the window track.

I really wish Thor would design the lock to work as the locks did in cars in which you needed to hold the door handle out to have it lock when you closed it.

The guys next to us said I need to get a hide-a-key. That is on my wish list for today.

i seen some where that some one 3D printed a one time use key but as a credit card and pushed out the key out of it when you need it

it was 3d printed it ABS so it was strong and worked so it would fit in your wallet

Yep! That's exactly why I learned to keep an extra key to the house,cars and MH in my wallet and I also have an extra in hide-a-keys.

There are tons of places to put a hide-a key on a motorhome. Just Say'in...

We always travel with both sets of MH keys, figuring that it will do absolutely no good should we need the extra set that is hanging on the hook at home. One set lives in the MH, the other set lives in the door pocket on the toad. Same with the toad keys. One set of car keys is always stored in the MH when we travel.

I have a strange fear of loosing keys or getting locked out. Odd, because I don't think I have ever misplaced anything my entire life. I keep a spare door key in a magnetic hide a key under the RV near the propane tank. Inside, I have two complete key sets, and a key set for the toad (Jeep) hidden.

Inexpensive, and very easy to conceal somewhere accessible from outside the coach: Master Lock 5400D Select Access Key Storage Box with Set-Your-Own Combination Lock, 1-Pack - - Amazon.com. When I had my Hurricane, I kept it chained in the propane compartment. If you want to see one up close and live, Home Depot and Lowes normally carries them as well.

There is a device called a "Realtor's Box" this is basically a very small safe.

I have one mounted in a compartment on my motor home that is never locked.. (The propane bay) so all I need to do is remember the magic number.

We got locked out of our previous MH which was a Windsport... by our dog! The way the lock was configured it was easy for her to paw at the door and push down on the locking mechanism. Fortunately we were able to get it unlocked without damaging or scratching anything. From that point forward we always had a key hidden! Our present MH door lock is opposite so now she can unlock the door but can't open it!!!
