What Engine in a 2004 Mandalay?

Can anyone tell us which engines were offered in the 2004 Mandalays? It's a 39' with a Cummins but that's about all we know. Thanks,
barryb

I would be looking to verify it is a ISC 350hp, 8.3L. The listings for that model come up with a cummins 350hp which is the ISC in that vintage. Perhaps visit the cummins diesel section here and pose your queries.

Great motor by the way.

NADA says all the '04 Mandalay's came with a 330HP Diesel. For '04 Cummins that should be the ISC 8.3L. That should be in a Freightliner Chassis.

Engine description is not in the owners manual, but the manual can be found here if desired to look.

Beautiful coach!
Best luck

Thanks for the replies. My next door neighbor just bought it and you're right the manual doesn't even tell which engine is in it.

We have a 2005 Mandalay 40B on a 2004 Freightliner chassis. It has a 350 HP C7
Hope that helps.

He contacted freightliner with vin number and they emailed him the build sheet which contained all info.

I never would've thought of that

...Well....?

What engine was it?

FYI, iRV2 has gotten so popular the it is often within the top 5 hits on an internet search...an answer here will be seen by hundreds if not thousands

Thanks

Seems some of them are 350hp, those must be the Caterpillars. I wonder if that was an option in that vintage?

My folks had a Cat in a Alfa Seeya. Unfortunately Dad passed away before they could use it much. Those units can be had pretty cheap these days. I recall it was a couple of hundred thou, I think Mom got about $125K to a dealer. Then we traded their Saturn for a Cadillac for her. She couldn't drive the coach.
