Hi, we can run the A/C in the bedroom but the livingroom A/C won't turn on. We have looked ALL over for a switch that would switch between A/Cs. The motorhome is a 2001. It won't run from the generator or plugged in. Any suggestions.

Have you checked the breakers? Sometimes mine will flip the 30 amp breaker on the generator and the front A/C will not work.

Do you have a control that only allows one AC to operate at a time or automaticly switches power to them to prevent overload to the system electric

I have a 1999 Thor windsport and I have a switch on the passager side of the bed to switch between front and back A/C. It will only run one at a time on shore power.

papp is right on. We have a 2000 and same switch on the passenger side of the bed. On shore power we can only run one A/C at a time but on the generator we can run both.

Our 2008 Windsport has two controls. One is in the bedroom and the other for the front is in the master control for the gen, slides and air. 50 amp to run both from shore power and gen. runs both. was the same on our 2000 Windsport.

Not sure I understand your answer, I do have dual controls, a thermostat in the bedroom for the rear A/C, that unit works fine, The front thermostat controls the front heater and A/C and generator like yours. I have been using the generator 5.5KW while parked in my driveway to troubleshoot my problem. I can't get the front heater or A/C to come on. Breakers are ok, HVAC fuse under hood is good as well as the fuse on the thermostat. I feel like I am missing something, just don't know what....

Do you have 50 amp shore power? If so, then they should both run at the same time, at least that is how mine works. With the heat and A/C not working in front, I wonder if the that control is bad. Is it possible to switch them and see if the bedroom A/C will work with the front thermostat? If so, then you can run down the problem for the front - maybe a broken wire?

I have a 1998 windsport.
There is a switch on the side of the bed.
You can only run one at a time unless you have the generator running

If your running on the generator, check your circuit breakers on your generator. Mine has a 30 amp and a 20 amp circuit breaker.

Yes, check your breakers on the generator. I also have a switch on the pax side of the rear q bed.
On one more note.... under my bed I have 3 power cords and 1 recepticle. I think this will allow me to switch A/C's back and forth. (front to rear). I also cannot get both to work simutaneously with my generator:( I have sent a PM to another Hurricane owner that is able to run both A/C's under generator power to find out how it is done.
My first class A.
