Wiper help please

I have a 2011 Serrano 31X with wipers that will not shut off. As soon as the key is turned on the wipers turn on with the wiper switch in the off position. When the wipers are running the wiper switch has no effect in the delay positions. If turned to the fast position the wipers do speed up. If I used the wipers for more than an hour since I purchased the MH it would surprise me.

Thanks

If you have a smart wheel it could be the wheel or the control box for the smart wheel.

Can I assume the wheel you refer to is the turn signal wiper cruse control.

If you have a Spartan chassis or maybe on others I am not familiar with there are controls on the wheel for headlight and tail light flash cruise, wiper controls, and others. It uses the wheel with a four conductor wire and uses composit signals to operate. Not the typical stalk switch.

Thanks but I have a Workhorse chassis. It has a multi function turn signal lever that controls hi beams, wipers and cruse.

the problem is likely in the gearbox on the wiper motor, there is a cam that opens the power circuit to "park" the wipers when they are turned off. I the cam is broken the wipers will continue to run indefinably. This is a Chevy Chevelle but they are all similar:
