Anyone recognize this connector

Having crank problems on 2011 Serrano, W22 chassis with MaxxForce 7 diesel (FRED) and found this open connector hanging loose in the vicinity of the water pump. Anyone recognize this? It has two purple wire on each connector.

It is not uncommon for there to be an unused "connector" dangling from a modern wiring harness. Not all chassis provide the same level of "functions" as does a "standard" harness, therefore, unless something you HAVE isn't working I would not worry about it.

Purely a guess, but I think that MAY have been intended for a switch that is no longer used on the master cylinder tank.

If I pause for any length of time in the run position on the ignition switch when I go to crank the starter does not engage. If I go straight from off/lock to crank without pausing in run, then most of time the starter will engage. Sometimes it sounds as if the batteries are almost dead or weak, but they are new and hot. Checked all connections for batteries. Going into the International dealer today, will post update.
