In this Gersen Lerhman Group Press March 2009 release we see where Navistar is dedicated to bringing to market a Maxx(CAT)Force 15 L engine to market using an all EGR solution.
In that article we see a high level executive attempting to make the following point .... "The biggest fireworks at MATS could have been when Volvos’ Mack marketing guy Dave McKenna held up a lit candle and doused it with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to dispel rumors about its flammability. But just like everything else at this years show, not much is happening."

I'm not sure why this level of executive would want to show this because I can probably do the same thing with diesel fuel or gasoline for that matter.

Why would he assume that people out there are so gullible as to think that DEF is flammable? This must have been a side show to impress Navistar customers.
I know one thing that Dave McKenna didn't prove and that's how fast the candle would burn up a $100.00 bill steeped in DEF!
