I've seen the prototype Breeze at Tiffin's plant in Red Bay, Alabama. The original 28' mule had leaf springs under it as a temporary measure but air-ride was being fitted. I also saw the upcoming 32' Breeze chassis, which did not have the "box" on top of it yet. I was asked not to take photos of it because it was pretty secret at the time. It was a rear radiator, air-ride, air brake, raised rail chassis that Tiffin designed in the Powerglide plant especially for the Breeze, rather than buy an off-the-rack chassis and try to adapt to fit their needs.

The key ingedient to the success of this chassis is the Maxxforce 7 engine. Rather than the longer in-line 6 as used in the Cummins ISB, the Maxxforce engine is nice and short. That allowed creating a shorter motorhome while still retaining decent handling and reaching that targeted 15 MPG fuel economy range. The fact that it uses EGR instead of SCR to meet the EPA-2010 emissions also keeps the Breeze in a more cost effective pricing category.

Initial tests of the short Breeze have shown it to be a sweet handling coach. There's plenty of interest in the upcoming 32' Breez on the TiffinRVNetwork forum so that should be a very popular coach.
