Navistar Sets Goal of Becoming $20 Billion Company

WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- Navistar announced it plans to reach the $20 billion mark in annual revenue by becoming an integrated manufacturer in North America and expanding in developing markets through partnerships, Transport Topics reported.

Navistar executives predicted the firm could generate profit as high as $1.8 billion annually, if their plans come to fruition. “It’s pretty clear that on the revenue side that we are going to exceed the $15 billion target,” Daniel Ustian, Navistar’s chairman and CEO, told a meeting of financial analysts. “We have our own diesel engine, we have our own plat-form, we have our own integration and we have dealers.”

Dee Kapur, president of Navistar’s Truck Group, predicted the company could achieve up to 20 percent market share, especially with the company's joint venture with Indian manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra.

What I'm going to keep an eye out for is whether or not Monaco RV LLC will move toward using Navistar engines using EGR without the need to buy and support DEF.

At the moment there's nothing I can see that is compelling them to to buy MaxxForce engines for the same reasons that MRVLLC continues to use Ford gas chassis.
