Spartan Chassis a subsitary of Spartan Motors has announced that a concept chassis has been developed and shown at the recent RVIA Trade Show in Louisville, KY.
The 32' Concept Chassis is diesel pusher design powered by the
MaxxForce 7 twin-turbo diesel engine coupled to an Allison 1000MH 6 Speed transmission. The motorhome is equipped with a Cummins Onan 6K diesel gererator. The GVW of the chassis is rated at 22,000 pounds and is built on a 50,000 psi high strength, low alloy steel. The vehilce is equipped with hydraulic disk brakes and features a polimer diesel fuel tank.
The technology inherent in the MaxxForce 7 is AEGR (non Urea based emissions) while Spartan also remains commited to buying Cummins engines using SCR (Urea) in their larger GVW RV products. Spartan joins THOR Industries and Tiffin Motorhomes in being a split technology motorhome product producer.
